Generally, noncitizens applying for immigration benefits who need to prove they are admissible, such as adjustment of status applicants, must submit a Form I-693 to demonstrate they are free from any conditions that would make them inadmissible based on health-related grounds. A Form I-693 that was completed and signed by a civil surgeon on or after November 1, 2023, does not expire. However, a Form I-693 completed before that date is valid for two years from the date the civil surgeon signed it. Any Form I-693 signed by the civil surgeon on or after November 1, 2023, does not expire and can be used for any immigration benefit application at any time in the future.
