The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced the expansion of myProgress (previously known as personalized processing times) to include Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, and Form I-131, Application for Travel Document. The myProgress feature offers applicants with a USCIS online account access to personalized estimates of their wait times for significant milestones in their case, including the final decision on their application. However, it’s important to note that while these estimates are based on historical data from similar cases, they do not guarantee processing speed and may not account for all potential unique application processing delays, leading to over- or underestimation of the true processing time.
In addition to Form I-765 and Form I-131, myProgress is also available for applicants who file Form N-400, Application for Naturalization; Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card; or Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative. To view estimated case timelines, applicants must create a USCIS online account or log in to their existing account and select the relevant pending application. If they have e-filed or linked one of the applicable forms to their online account using an access code, they will find a dedicated myProgress tab for their application. This tab displays the estimated wait time until the case decision is reached and marks three milestones as they are completed: confirmation of application receipt, completion of biometric services appointment (if required), and the final decision on the pending case.
