Starting from June 17, 2023, revisions were made to the fees for nonimmigrant visa (NIV) applications. These changes applied to various visa categories, including visitor visas for business or tourism (B1/B2s and BCCs) and other non-petition-based NIVs such as student and exchange visitor visas (F, M, and J visas). The processing fee for these visas increased from $160 to $185. Additionally, certain petition-based NIVs for temporary workers (H, L, O, P, Q, and R categories) experienced an increase from $190 to $205. For individuals applying for a treaty trader, treaty investor, or a specialty occupation visa (nonimmigrant E category), the fee rose from $205 to $315. Please note that fees paid before June 17, 2023, will continue to be valid until the expiration date mentioned on the fee receipt.
